Rosie and Miryana Babic founded Isabella Imports blending their appreciation for discovering the beautifully unique with their love of world travel. Rosie Babic is an expert in international import and export with over 30 years of experience including marketing, sales and finance. A perfume devotee, her passion for fragrance originates from her early memories as a child with her mother Hortensia Ordonez' passion for perfume. In the late 1930's, Hortensia gained an audience with Eva Peron when she traveled from her native La Paz, Bolivia to Buenos Aires. Miryana and Rosie grew up hearing about Eva Peron's elegance and the amazing perfume she wore. The magic of personal history intermingled with beautiful scents inspire Miryana and Rosie daily.
Miryana is an artist who takes inspiration from Italy’s natural beauty and art treasures. While working in the art world, illustrious trustees of world-renowned museums hired her to conceptualize, create and select corporate and personal gifts. She has collaborated with Hermes, Tiffany & Co, Asprey and MoMA. Miryana discovered the i Profumi de Firenze collection while traveling in Italy. On a hot June day in Florence when the scent molecules are rich and linger, she happened to walk by a gem of a perfumery a stone's throw from the Uffizi Gallery where she had been studying Botticelli's colors. The moment she walked in and tried on i Profumi di Firenze perfumes she knew she had discovered her holy grail of scent.
Back in the U.S. Miryana kept getting stopped with compliments whenever she wore i Profumi di Firenze, including from a highly revered Conde Nast Beauty Director and the beauty buyer for an internationally renowned retailer. With Rosie also falling in love with the fragrances, the duo decided to go back to Florence. And, with their passion for the perfumes, Rosie and Miryana secured exclusive U.S. distribution rights for i Profumi di Firenze.
